Given its focus on climate change, which disproportionately affects black communities, it is fitting. Numerous chapters are currently involved in promoting GreenLearning by sharing stories and information to empower Black youth to access green spaces, ensuring they feel welcomed and secure. Additionally, they highlight the experiences of Black environmentalists to advocate for social and climate justice. Delta Sigma Theta has always strived for positive transformative change in communities and professional growth, fostering connections with sorors who are educators. By showcasing the diversity of individuals in outdoor spaces and addressing current trends in intersectional environmentalism and climate education, Delta Sigma Theta is leading the way forward.
