Graviola, also called Soursop, guabanana, or Brazilian paw paw, is a tropical fruit with a long history of being used as a natural remedy for stomach problems and fever. For those who are taking medication for high blood pressure, it is advisable to consult their healthcare provider before incorporating soursop into their diet to avoid any potential interactions with their current medications. As with any natural product, it is important to consume soursop in moderation. Excessive intake may result in symptoms such as vomiting, nausea, decreased appetite, diarrhea, abdominal pain, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, headaches, or possibly respiratory distress.
