Keep our Beaches Free...When The Money Isn't Worth The Aggravation!
Jamaica is largely appealing for the sun, sand, and sea scene. Despite the fact that tourism is very reliant on the natural environment of the region, it has negative environmental impacts. These impacts include marine pollution and degradation, as well as a high demand for water and energy resources.
Although it achieved independence in 1979, St. Lucia remains a member of the British Commonwealth. Today the United States and St. Lucia enjoy cooperative relations and have signed several treaties. Air pollution, contaminated water, inadequate sanitation, soaring temperatures and severe storms, are some of the most pressing environmental public health threats for the region. Now there is a protest as locals are turned away from beaches they enjoyed for centuries... I don’t know why their leaders can’t adopt the Barbados model! No private beaches & tourists and locals both enjoy the beaches in peace!! But the beaches are The people’s!
