The Coming Ozone Catastrophe

Most Environmentalists believe that the EPA is facing a grim future, prompting concerns about the potential consequences for the planet. Project 2025 would all but dissolve the EPA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Anyone with a TV, smartphone, radio, or newspaper can know what tomorrow’s weather will look like, whether a hurricane is heading toward their town, or if a drought has been forecast for the next season. Even if they get that news from a privately owned app or TV station, much of the underlying weather data are courtesy of meteorologists working for the federal government. Project 2025 will end access to free weather reports and the immediate repercussions will be a rise in skin cancer for the white American population and a reduction of birth rates for those without the protection of eumelanin! Climate change global warming is natures birth control for European populations! A 2015, 100-year study from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology shows that increased UV radiation can have a negative effect on human fertility over generations.

Children born in years with high solar activity had on average, a lifespan 5.2 years shorter than those born in other years. Additionally, children born in sunny years who survived were more inclined to have fewer offspring, who in turn had fewer children compared to others. This discovery indicates that heightened UV radiation during periods of increased solar activity had a lasting impact on successive generations.

Individuals who remain skeptical about the impacts of climate change have vowed to revoke federal regulations aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions that are quickly warming the Earth. Their ideological counterparts are even more ambitious, proposing plans to cut budgets, remove long-standing EPA employees, place supporters of the Petro-pharmaceutical industry in strategic roles, and diminish the average citizen's ability to address climate change, regulate industries, and limit the release of dangerous chemicals into their communities.

Environmentalists are concerned that the abolishment of the EPA could lead to the removal of numerous E.P.A. regulations designed to control air and water pollution, safeguard individuals from harmful chemicals, and notably address climate change. This could potentially permit corporations to pollute the country in pursuit of higher profits. The ozone layer, which acts as Earth's protective shield, absorbs approximately 98 percent of the harmful UV radiation. Unfortunately, because of lack of human intelligence by people in power, the ozone layer is depleting due to certain molecules triggering a chemical reaction upon contact with ozone molecules, resulting in the ozone layer breaking down and losing its ability to absorb ultraviolet rays. If emission rates continue unchecked, most regions of the United States could experience between 10 and 15 additional days per year of unhealthy ozone levels by 2040!

According to a UN-backed panel of experts in 2023, the Earth's ozone layer is on track to recover within the next forty years. Recovery is anticipated around 2066 over the Antarctic and by 2045 over the Arctic. However, this positive outlook could be compromised by the United States. Plans by conservative advocacy groups to dismantle environmental protections and resume extensive carbon fuel use could lead to years of significant carbon pollution. Such actions would represent a complete disregard for the nation's climate responsibilities over the coming decade. Climate scientists warn that emissions from any location contribute to global warming worldwide: The United States' contributions to atmospheric heat-trapping gases during this period would accelerate global warming. The warming already set in motion is expected to push regions like half of the Middle East and Australia to the brink of habitability, and further damage could result in an "Ozone Catastrophe."
